Description
Sergey Levonovich Nazarov born in 1960
Sergey Nazarov has strong Armenian roots, but as it turns out, he is a Saint Petersburg artist.
After graduating from the restoration Department of the art school in 1985. Serov (now N. K. Roerich) and work in the specialty, he entered the Institute. Repin to the faculty of easel painting. He got into the famous workshop of academician E. E. Moiseenko, which by that time was led by academician P. T. Fomin. Interest in monumental painting prompted the young artist to get acquainted with the creative workshop of academician A. A. Mylnikov. The subsequent creative and personal friendship with Professor A. L. Korolev, who taught Mylnikov "drawing", helped Nazarov to master even more fundamentally the principles of the age-old foundations of the academic school of painting.
His thesis "Cartasi" (translated from Armenian - the builders of the temples) confirmed his creative belonging to this school.
Great interest in his work was shown abroad. In 1992, a successful solo exhibition of Sergey Nazarov at the Munich Academy of arts demonstrated the priority of the St. Petersburg academic school of painting over the modern trends of Western European art schools. The ability to convey the beauty of the material world is related to the artist's work of the old masters.
The artist's creative range is wide. This is a genre painting with its logical compositional completeness, and a portrait through which the artist returns a sense of Renaissance style and plasticity and gives the viewer a wonderful opportunity to experience the complex inner world of his images. And, of course, still lifes, which revealed the refined and refined taste of the artist, his love for beautiful things and the ability to see aesthetic beauty in objects that at first glance are completely inconspicuous. Looking at the master's still lifes, the viewer almost physically feels the soft warmth of the velvet texture and the coolness of the silk, the Shine of the polished surface of marble and the mattness of ancient clay jars.
This extraordinary ability to convey the beauty of the material world connects the artist with the work of the old masters.
